knitting appeal
« on: March 03, 2011, 16:59:22 PM »

I brought some little knitted chicks today with an Easter egg in from a cancer charity ( a small box of them were on the counter at the dentist )
here's their appeal .........
http://www.walesonline.co.uk/cardiffonline/cardiff-news/2010/07/26/caerphilly-woman-aims-for-1m-for-velindre-charity-91466-26929328/

they sell for £1 and are knitted by volunteers

got me thinking  :thinkin:

could we launch a knitting appeal for volunteers to knit blankets , coats and woolly dogs etc for us to sell here on line or at shows etc ?

I found this site and alot of charities out there use knitting to raise funds

http://www.ukhandknitting.com/data/knitting_for_charity_10.htm

if we think it's worth pursuing I will try to find out who could help us with this
