Ask George (Sym) re blogs as he has one  ;D

Good idea.

Would it be sensible that everything is channelled through one person to post, with everyone being free to make comments if they want to.  Otherwise it could become like an extension to the chat thread  :hide:

I would think adoptees would have the most to right rather than foster carers   Also I guess not all foster carers would have time or be able to do this, so it would need a way of those dogs being able to be entered by their owners?

Are you thinking of one blog site which is similar to our success stories section, but without the right to reply as such?

it would be something like a foster carers tale. it kinda works in the way of anyone who wants to submit a story would send it to the person who opened the blog and they would post it. it would be separate completely from the forum but obviously still a four paws thing.

Here is a blog site. I guess we need one person to lead this, anyone

http://www.blog.co.uk/

Also I do think a folder of A4 success stories would be good to have at shows events etc for people to flick through x

I think all ideas great every foster and adopter has at least 1 or more stories about 1 or another dog cat rabbit I wish I could help with organising it even if it was some leaflets with short stories to show people that rescue animals can become loving pets a small picture if only in black and white would help.  I have a printer and could print some off if that would help.  what if a few fosterers wrote a story and the adoptee and if someone could check it through and maybe some members could print a few copies each just to see if it will work and if it does lets make a book :woohoo: wendy

http://fourpaws.blog.co.uk/ will be up and running very shortly.

The blog name could be altered if there are any objections or better suggestions to the one I picked.

Ok.   So this particular blog is proving to be a slight problem with silly messages and ads.

So watch this space and disregard the above site.

Thanks George, we can then work out how we can move it forward...

I still like the idea of a small folder with printed adoptee and foster carer stories...

maybe we, i mean u lol could send out a pm to foster carers asking them if they would like to write a story of they're own experiences at fostering, they then could either print it off and send it to someone to look over or email it to someone to look over it and print it off. they could put in it how they got started, why they started fostering, how they found fp, foster dogs good and bad???? just an idea. ???

The first blog (above) was set up but won't stop showing me ads n stuff.  In addition,it won't let me log in any more (sigh!).

This blog http://fourpaws-sw.blogspot.com/ is in the making.

This blog also allows for other contributors to post articles, so if anyone is interested, let me know.

Emails can be sent to fourpawsmod@gmail.com and I will put them up as they come in.

Em's idea of
... a small folder with printed adoptee and foster carer stories...
will be a little difficult as blogs are normally linear and do not support 'directory' structure.  'forum' user names and dog names will be entered as 'labels' in posts so they can be searched for with ease, allowing a dogs 'story' to be followed.

I like it  :)

I'll have a chat with Peter, Jackson's owner and see if he'll allow us to hijack some of Jackson's thread .. is it possible to have a different blog for each dog within it? I'm thinking of some of Mac's stuff as well. Jackson's story is a good opener but other short humerous  ( :dunno:) stories from some of the other threads could be posted.

Thinking of the fact that Leane and Kaz are arranging for the garden to be split in 2 dogs one side kids the other .. seems their dog Liquie likes the trampoline  ;D is that sort of thing ok George alongside the other stuff ..
