Please welcome the adorable Charlie Girl

. She has come to us through no fault of her own.
Charlie is just the most fantastic girl! She has clearly had a lot of training and knows several commands, both verbal and hand signals. She is eager to please and very biddable. She learns almost instantly. If you are looking for a dog to train to do many things, Charlie is the girl for you

.
She adores human company and likes to be near you. She loves a fuss and a brush (which is just as well as her coat needs a fair bit of attention to stop knots from forming). She seems to have no issues with any people - she loves them all. She has no issues with any dogs - she loves them all! She has no possession issues at all either. She is so obedient and fun, fun fun! She enjoys a game of chase around the garden with various toys. She is good on a lead as long as she is handled correctly (short lead and asked to heel). She is fully house-trained - no accidents at all. She has been spayed and micro-chipped.
She can be a little sensitive so needs to be handled kindly and gently. If she is at all worried by anything then she gets very silly and giddy. She can be over-excitable and get over-stimulated, so while she has already learnt many things, she still needs to learn some self-control and to calm down at times. For this reason and no other, she would not be suitable to be homed with younger children as she would probably get too boisterous with them.
While she loves to be near you all the time, which is lovely

, this needs careful handling so that it does not develop into separation anxiety. She shows no real signs of it, but it could easily develop if not handled correctly.
In the garden, the house and even in a class situation with many distractions, Charlie remains totally focused on her handler

. She is eager to learn and please. However, on a walk, she is overly interested in finding bunnies, which is much more interesting to her than giving attention to her handler. For this reason she has not been off lead as yet as she would just disappear over the horizon in a search for bunnies

. Any new home would need to work hard to get her attention and maybe get some professional help with this before letting her off lead.
This is Charlie doing her routine of sit, down and roll over. Note how focused she is:

Playtime! The one with Taffy is before she had a good grooming, hence her nickname of The Flying Mop

She is such a sweetie

Her tail never stops wagging!
