Introducing Oscar - Small White & Black Terrier - aged 2

Breed: Small Terrier (JRT)
Colour: White & Black
Age: 2 years 6 months old
Dog friendly: yes, very !   Tongue
Cat Friendly: tested with confident cat
Child friendly:  has spent time with children aged 8 & was great
Now Neutered & fully vaccinated
Housetrained: Yes
Height to shoulder 12" - weighs 6.3 kg
Fostered: Vale of Glamorgan (outside Cardiff)
Minimum adoption fee £135 (as microchipped)

Little Oscar came from the pound with only his red collar  Love He has been in foster for 2 weeks, settling in with me and my own two terriers whilst being assessed. He is a lively energetic terrier with boundless energy but also has a quiet loving nature who is eager to please. He is a quick learner and intelligent - responding to his new name and sitting nicely for a treat within the first 2 days. There have been no accidents in the house. He loves to play rough and tumble with my dogs and like most young terriers needs plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Equally is happy to sit by your side & loves a cuddle. He could have been called badger...he is all white with lovely black head markings.

Sometimes pulls on the lead, mainly with excitement, but already has been off lead in a safe area, and recalled well with the use of treats. He loves food and has shown no food guarding. When taken for a walk along a busy high street he walked really nicely, wasn't phased by people or traffic and sat patiently while we had a coffee at an outdoor cafe.

A home with previous terrier experience would be good for this little chap, but not essential. He would make an ideal companion or family member. Someone who will continue with his training, set boundaries and give him some one to one time - who would be rewarded with this gentle , loving, fun dog with boundless energy and devotion.

In Love  loves human &  dog company, long walks  In Love

Please put in an application in the first instance if you are interested in adopting Oscar.

Approved applications will be homechecked & asked to travel to meet/collect Oscar from his foster home.

Details of our adoption procedures and adoption application form are here

Hope so Debby - he really deserves it. Yes he had just his collar, no name and then was neuteured the same day I took him - so thats why I let him settle for 2 weeks before fully assessing. He's coming on really well   Love

I had the pleasure of spending the day with this little man yesterday at the big cheese. He was so well behaved in the beer garden of the pub we went to.  He didn't make a sound all day bless him and he loved all the attention he had. If you get the chance to take on this little chap then you will have a friend for life.

" A gentle, energetic friend for life" is a great description of Oscar.  Love  Here he is having a cuddle... after having a long day out.....almost asleep. He was so tired after a long walk in the fields and then a visit to the Big Cheese at Caerphilly for 5 hours. You can take him anywhere....he is good, sits down, doesn't moan or bark. Wasn't phased by the crowds, noise, people - just alert and interested in everything going on around him. He met lots of other dogs, ducks, pottered happily around the owl sanctuary and even came face to face with "the dingo".
