"In a perfect world, every dog would have a home

« on: June 07, 2010, 20:18:54 PM »

Please meet the very elegant Ella Love

Breed: Weimeranar
Age: 10 - please read about her below before thinking she's too old!
Dog friendly: yes
Cat Friendly: yes with very dog savvy cats
Child friendly: yes she loves children but due to her size needs older children 6+
Fostered: In Radyr, Cardiff, South Wales

Ella came in to us along with her companian Alfie, who is a 2 yr old Westie, Ella is spayed & has a full vax history since a pup & has been given a clean bill of health from the vet.  They came into Four Paws as their previous owner was working long hours & quite rightly, knew that this was not the best situation for Ella & Alfie so asked us for help in finding them a loving, suitable home.

Ella is a stunning looking girl who gets lots of admiring looks and comments when we meet anyone out & about. She is fully houstrained, knows 'sit', 'wait' & gives both her paws depending on which one you ask for, she also knows 'leave'. She is fantastic with my children (aged 6 & 8 ) & gets on well with both my dogs. Ella's recall in the first week or so of being here was very good altho as with the breed traits she had a little stubborn streak & hesitated if something was more interesting than me but she did come back within a few calls. This has definately improved over the past 2 weeks and now she very rarely leaves my side & comes back when called. She definately does not look her age & is a beautifully elegant girl, she is so full of character and makes us laugh everyday with her facial expressions! In Love

Ella bonds very quickly with her 'owner' and will love you with every breath in her body, she is such a beautiful loving girl who deserves to spend her life with someone who is still active as she likes her walks but she doesn't need the same amount as a younger Weimy would so an hour a day walk & run would be plenty for her. Ella is a hugely beneficial mix of being mature, she is very calm & steady, mixed with the right amount of energy for play & walks which she loves Grin

Ella could definately live as an only dog as long as someone was around during the day with her as she would dote on you, but would equally live quite happily alongside another male dog. We have fallen madly in love with this gentle giant but would love to see her perfect home come along.

Everyone who has met Ella has instantly fallen in love with her and I totally understand why, this girl is a heartbreaker!, she really is perfect, such a good dog in the home & outdoors and is so, so loving with everyone she meets.

If you have any questions about gorgeous Ella please feel free to post them here for me to reply to  Grin

If you would be interested in offering this big bundle of love a happy forever home then please read through our adoption procedures & complete the application form found here: http://forum.fourpawsanimalrescue.org.uk/index.php?topic=20.0 All approved applications will be home checked.

I've been lucky enough to spend a little bit of time with this lovely girl as I fostered Alfie the Westie she came in with.  She's beautiful, her face is so expressive its as if she understands every word you say to her  Love.  She's perfect with people, children and other dogs.  As Lisa has said, Ella has bonded strongly with her in a fairly short space of time so her lucky forever family are going to be rewarded with unconditional love and loyalty  Group Hug

I can't believe we haven't had offers flooding in for this utterly gorgeous girl! In Love, She really is the 'perfect' dog. We had a family birthday yesterday so had a housefull of people and she was soooo happy to see everyone and was so gentle & polite with everyone, in fact my brother even asked his girlfriend to work less hours so they could offer her a home ROFL She is not typically 'aloof' as this breed sometimes are as she really does love everyone  Love

Ella really is such a fabulous girl, she loves riding in the car with you, altho prefers the front seat next to you Hug, she is lovely on the lead, will pull slightly to start but a 'wait' from you will stop her, her offlead is fantastic and she loves her walks.  She is such an affectionate girl & loves nothing better than cuddling up on the sofa with you in the evening watching telly In Love, anyone who offers this fantastic girl a home & is successful, will have a doting, loving companion for many, many years yet Grin

Wave Its true, I count myself among the people who have fallen for her  Love  She's so beautiful, and elegant, but also funny, affectionate and so loyal and as Lisa has posted already, not in the least aloof as is sometimes said about this breed.  She's the first Weimaraner I've had the pleasure of meeting and I'm a total convert.

She's 10 years old but when I first met her, I would easily have believed that she was no more than about 6 - in fact we disbelieved her age and had to go and double-check her paperwork.  She's in beautiful condition and has just the right amount of energy - she loves her walks but also loves to settle down for a cuddle.

Ella is going to make someone the most perfect companion, I know that Lisa and her family and thoroughly enjoying having this gorgeous girl and that she's being a wonderful house guest.

I hope that Ella's forever home is just around the corner  In Love
