Big Cheese - Caerphilly 24th and 25th July (Confirmed)
« on: March 09, 2010, 13:39:50 PM »
We have sent an application form to Caerphilly council for a stall at the Big Cheese. We missed out last year but hopefully this year have got it in on time. It’s the 24th and 25th July on the grounds of Caerphilly. I will take the stall along but its a very long day/weekend so will need lots of helpers preferably at different times of the day so we can spread it out between us.

If we are successful in getting a stall I will be looking for helpers  ;D x

With events like this do we get a maximum number of entry tickets or is it a free event?

Only ones I can think of Audrey is Cwmcarn Fforest Drive or Pen Y Fan. Try looking at Caerphilly Councils web site x

a lot of events like this in South Wales are free in the summer - the cheese is in the 'grounds' of Caerphilly Castle - its a good event but as Pez said it is very tiring as its extremely busy as well no matter what the weather is but it does get very muddy if wet

Our application has been succuessful.  :woohoo:

Spotted this:
There is a strict street collection policy in operation at the event. A number of permits, allocated on a first come first serve basis, for those charities who wish to have an active collection presence on site at the event can be applied for.

Does anyone know if we have applied for this? If not is it worth doing so otherwise we can still do:

If an active collection has not been applied for and been successful, it is prohibited for your charity to collect money on the site, other than in the remit of your 8ft by 8ft stall. Collections on stalls should not be active collections and should only consist of a collection box on the table.
