Photo competition information
« on: February 20, 2010, 17:55:27 PM »
We are suggesting a donation of £1 per entry (one photograph per entry). You may have as many entries as you wish.

Donations can be made at http://www.justgiving.com/safety. (If you do not wish to make a donation this way cheques can be sent to address listed in the donation thread) and information on this can be found in the donation information thread.

You must own the copyright of the pictures you are posting or have the express permission of whoever owns the copyright. Photos can be cropped but please do not add photos that have been touched up, photoshopped or edited.

Important:
Photos should sized to give a file size of around 30k - 50k please.
Please try make sure they aren't taller or wider than about 640 pixels.
This will enable those members without broadband on a slow dial-up internet to see all the photos at a reasonable speed.

Rules
It's ok to sbumit pictures of animals that have passed to the bridge.

It's fine to submit pictures that contain more than one animal.

Please do not submit photographs that have been taken by professional photographers.

Please do not post comments on any show class thread. Any comments will be deleted. There will be a competition discussion thread where you can chat about the show as much as you like!

All categories unless otherwise stated are for photos of dogs but can contain other animals.

Judging will take place after the competition has closed and the results will be posted as soon as we have them.

Real Rosettes will be awarded to the 1st - 4th place winners in each class, with an additional two specials.

All of the first place winners (as selected by our judges) will then be entered in a poll and every member of the Four Paws forum will be able to vote (once only) for their overall favourite. This will then give us our Best in Show. The Best in Show Winner and Reserve Best in Show will get an extra special rosette.

The competition closes on the 4th April at 10pm. PLEASE don't leave it till the last minute and risk server problems stopping you from entering! Just think how upset you would be on missing out on a rosette...

If you have any questions regarding any aspect of this event, please ask them in the questions thread.

Brilliant!  Will get the camera out.  A friend needs a dog-sitter so I can emotionally blackmail...err...I mean persuade her to let me use her computer to upload the photos in exchange!!!

No, you don't need to use Photobucket, but will need to post the Address (URL) of the photo in between the two IMGs that you get if you click on the Insert Image icon above the reply box.  It's difficult to explain  :-\
