I’ve found a dog, what should I do?

If you find a stray dog you MUST report it to your local dog warden who should collect the dog from you and take it to the nearest Council Pound where he/she will serve 7 days before being available for re-homing.

Phone numbers for Dog Wardens can be found on this link -

I want to adopt one of your dogs ….

Dogs currently in foster homes and available for re-homing are listed on our website and also here -,8.0.html   All information available about the dog is detailed on their individual homing threads.

If you wish to adopt one of our dogs you will need to complete our online form to register interest.  The form plus our terms of adoption and the process are here,21.0.html

Please note, we don’t have a rescue centre.   Our dogs are cared for in foster homes and no visits can be arranged until an application has been approved.

I have applied to adopt one of your dogs but haven’t heard anything ….

If you haven’t had any contact from us within 7 days of putting in your application please contact us by email to follow up –

I need to rehome my dog …

We do take in dogs from members of the public when we have spaces available.  You can add your dog to our waiting list by completing an online form here -    Please give us full and honest information so we are better placed to find a suitable space for your dog.

How can I become a foster carer?

We are always looking to increase our foster team.   There is some information and an application form available on our website here -

How can I become a homechecker?

We are always looking to increase our team of home checker volunteers, as our dogs are adopted from all over the country. If you would like to join our team, there is information and an application available here -,15.0.html

Once we have all your contact details and areas to cover, you will be added onto the FPAR Homecheck facebook page, where all appeals for home checks are logged.
