Anaemia in Dogs
« on: June 18, 2017, 18:50:06 PM »
I had to rush Honey my FPAW rescue to the vets this morning, she has been a bit lethargic the last couple of days, but more so this morning, isolating herself from us and not really responding. I checked her gums and noticed how pale they were so phoned the vets. After a blood test her white blood cell count is high, so showed anaemia; however blood tests are being sent off for further analysis. Am so worried about my little munchkin, but also the cost that is going to be involved if she needs further long term treatment as I dont have the money for that. She is on steroids now for a while and test results should be back in by Tuesday. Has anyone else had this with their dogs?
