For those of us who don't know eBay very well (like me, so apologies if everyone else already knew!) I have just stumbled across this. Apparently you can sell items and donate a percentage (up to 100%) to your favourite charity. FPAR are listed so should appear on the A-Z when following these steps:

A few rescues have a search engine link for the internet, every time link is used the rescue gets a donation. Dogs Trust & UK-GSR do this but I'm not sure how you'd go about setting it up. We could all click on link 10+ a day as well as well as getting our supporters to use it. I've used dog trust one & its the same as using Google search.
Dog ownership is like a Rainbow .... puppies are the joy at one end & older dogs the treasure at the other.

More than happy to do a car boot but when it warms up a bit!

I've got more than enough to do a boot sale too Jo, there's an excellent, very popular one in Gelligaer that I'd be happy to book in summer, could also do little FPAR info table alongside it too.
Amy made £50+ last year & she didn't have a huge amount of her stuff but it all went!

There's also http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/ where we get a % when people shop online at certain places.

I'm just going to split this thread off into the Fundraising board as there are such a lot of good ideas.

We did one April 18th 2010 & raised £140 & this was at Gelligaer, we didn't put a price on anything just asked for a donation (we found that people gave more than usual)

There's a couple of car loads Jo, maybe we can have the use of a Four Paws van. Paul "does" Gelligaer & at the moment it's waterlogged & the pipes are frozen in the toilets (the organisers lets Paul know)

We should definitely be able to sort out use of a FP's van.

The van would also draw attention to the stall too :), Paul said he's willing to ask owners if we can get in free (thinks it's £7) .......... worth asking ;)

Plugging 'easyfundraising' might help. So many people buy online these days and it doesn't cost you anything - retailers like Amazon, Play, Argos etc all give a percentage of the sale. Even if a small purchase - like a book or CD - only raises 10p it all adds up.
