This is what Abby's foster Mum tells us about this gorgeous girl -
Abby was very timid when she came to us on Thursday and was quite shut down, but once she understood we were here to help her she soon came around and is now very bouncy and loving. She adores everyone she meets and the feeling is usually mutual!
She doesn't really bother with the toys I gave her as she doesn't seem to know what to do with them, but hopefully with some encouragement and time she will learn to play.
Abby is good with a lead and harness but is very strong. We took her for a walk and my hubby was going to put her in the car and I was going in the shop, she decided she would rather come with me and dragged my hubby to the shop!
She is a beautiful, sweet natured dog and will make someone a lovely pet.
Abby hasn't had much training but she picks things up very quickly - She wouldn't sit on Thursday but now sits on command! On going training would be very advantageous to bring out the best in this lovely dog.
Abby's fosterers will update more as they get to know her, but if you think she sounds like the dog you have been waiting for and that you can offer her a "happy ever after" please send in an application.
Beautiful Abby is settling well into her foster home. She's still unsure of certain things. Sudden movements can make her jump but she is slowly trusting more and more. She does now have a little play with toys and she has enjoyed a chewy treat or two!
Abby loves her walks she's very good at recall except when there are other dogs, she wants to play and will not come back lol. She loves exploring and sniffs everything. Abby is a strong girl. She is better on a harness as when she gets excited to greet people and other dogs she pulls. She would possibly benefit from training. She loves meeting people and enjoys the fusses they give her. She is such a sweetheart and deserves the best home ever. She would benefit really from having someone home with her much of the time and whilst she is dog friendly she could do with having all the attention in her new home to build up her confidence and trust.
Have you got an Abby shaped hole on your sofa??
Abby has settled really well, she has really come out of her shell and is a loving dog. She has started to play with toys and loves going out and meeting people. She will make a loving and loyal companion for someone x
